The Meaningful Muslimah – Sisters only event
The IFP Sisters’ Committee would like to invite Sisters for a special event entitled “The Meaningful Muslimah“. This special event is designed for Sisters, mothers, and daughters to bond and learn together. The day will be filled with activities and discussions, and even delicious eats, to encourage sisterhood and to learn how to be a Meaningful Muslimah, In sha ALLAH!
Who: Sisters-only event, Ages 10 +
(This event is geared towards girls, ages 10 and up, and their mothers, but open to Sisters in general.)
When: Saturday, January 28th
Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: Islamic Foundation of Peoria (IFP) Community Center
Entrance Fee: $3 per person, IF you RSVP via the google form!
$10 per person for onsite registration.
Lunch is Included! In order to make appropriate accommodation, we highly request that you RSVP as soon as possible.
All young girls (10-21 years old) will receive a special gift IF they have RSVPed via the google form.

There are various activities scheduled for this event:
– Girl Talk – a discussion on puberty and the Islamic concept of purity for women.
– Cupcake Competition (Mother-Daughter Teams)
If you do not have a daughter or mother that can participate in the competition with you, an honorary mother or daughter can attend in their place.
– Fashion Show – a showcase of modest fashion to encourage Islamically appropriate clothing.
