Class on “Fiqh and holistic methodology of Salāh”
Alhamdulillah IFP is excited to continue the series of classes which encourage obtaining various skill sets at an Islamic/Islamic Academic level.
After concluding with our course on the Fiqh of Taharah, what better way to bring about meaningful discussions than to discuss the Fiqh and the holistic methodology of the Salāh, which is the Muslim Ritual/Devotional Prayer.
The Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ has stated:
مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَتَطَهَّرُ فَيُتِمُّ الطُّهُورَ الَّذِي كَتَبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَيُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسَ إِلاَّ كَانَتْ كَفَّارَاتٍ لِمَا بَيْنَهَا
“A Muslim who purifies themself and completes purification as enjoined upon them by Allah and then offers the prayers; such prayers will be an expiation (of the sins committed) between these (prayers).”
In shā Allāh, we will be presenting a course consisting of a thorough understanding of the Salāh (Ritual / Devotional Prayer).
Course Instructor: Imam Mazhar Mahmood
Class Prerequisites:
1. Must understand the English language
2. Punctuality is a must
3. Age 10 and above (Brothers and Sisters)
We will be exploring the following modules:
1. Method of Salah
2. Invalidators of The Prayer
3. Types of prayers / explanations of invocations
4. Contents of The Salāh Explained
5. Salah; Importance and A Brief History
The class will take place at the Islamic Foundation of Peoria at 6:20 PM – 7:20 PM on Wednesdays, in shā Allāh; for a period of 5 weeks.
The course will commence on Wednesday – January the 18th, in shā Allāh.
The registration deadline is Tuesday January the 17th, in shā Allāh.
